Parents desiring the Sacrament of Baptism for their children must participate in a Pre-Baptismal Program to prepare them and the child’s sponsors in their responsibilities.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is administered every Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (or by appointment - 860-643-2195) in the Reconciliation Room (Confessional) in the church foyer.
First Holy Communion and Confirmation
Children and youth of the parish are prepared for these sacraments by attending classes at either Assumption School or CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine).
RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation of Adults)
A program of religious education for adults wishing to become members of the Catholic Church. The program is open to baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of Holy Communion and/or Confirmation and those who were baptized in a Christian (non-Catholic) faith and wish to become Catholics.
Couples planning to marry must contact the Rectory six months before the expected wedding date for information. Engaged couples participate in a marriage preparation program to learn how to maintain a healthy and strong marriage.
Anointing of the Sick
Anyone may receive this sacrament if they are elderly, suffering from an illness -- chronic or sort-term, or before surgery. Children under certain conditions may also be anointed.
